Director, Rising Stars Day Camp
Shaylynn Chalupa has been a volunteer with CPP since 1997. In 1998 she became Family Theatre chairperson and has helped the program grow and flourish ever since. Three years ago conceived the very popular Family Theatre, Too! program (NOW, the Rising Stars Day Camp) . . . Shaylynn received her BA in Dance Performance & Choreography from Hope College. She has choreographed many musicals for CPP, most recently Cabaret and Jesus Christ Superstar, as well as for Spring Lake High School starting with Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, Singin' in the Rain and most recently, Annie. She has also been the director for Muskegon Civic Theatre's Repertory Touring Company for the past 8 years. Her primary goal for Family Theatre has been to open up the world of theatre and musical theatre to children of all ages.
Michelle Prince, Music Director, Rising Stars Day Camp
Michelle grew up in Grand Haven and graduated from GHHS. She starting acting in CPP shows with her mother when she was a child and continued until she went to college. Michelle attended WMU and received her bachelor's degree in elementary music education. She has been teaching elementary music at Oakridge Public Schools in Muskegon for the last 7 years. Michelle is excited to work with the students as they develop their talents and discover a love for theater.
Kellene Hilliard, Assistant Director/Stage Manager, Rising Stars Day Camp
Kellene Hilliard is a junior at Central Michigan University majoring in Education. She grew up in the Muskegon area taking classes with Muskegon Civic Theatre and participating in CPP's Family Theatre. She has been in many productions with CPP, Muskegon Civic Theatre, The Dogwood Players, Muskegon Community College, and The Howmet Playhouse. Recent credits include Brigadoon and The Last Night of Ballyhoo with MCT, Cabaret and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat with CPP, and The Fantasticks with MCC and The Howmet Playhouse. Kellene is very excited about the Rising Stars Daycamp and is looking forward to sharing her love of theatre.
