CPP invites
community to Season Celebration
Central Park Players’ Season
Celebration on July 27 marks the culmination of another successful
season. It also sets the stage for the group’s 50th
season, which begins in October with Neil Simon’s The Odd Couple.
And because CPP is community theatre, the community is invited to
the celebration.
In addition to electing board
members and naming the 2007-2008 season’s BessZ Award winners for
theatre excellence, the program will include the premier performance
of Off Stage!, CPP’s newly formed readers’ theatre group. Planned as
a repertory company with an ensemble cast, Off Stage! will take
theatre to audiences throughout the community.
The Season Celebration, which is
being held at the Grand Haven Area Jaycees clubhouse at 1737 Marion
Ave., begins at 2 p.m. with a social time. A picnic lunch of
hamburgers, hotdogs, and soft drinks will follow. In addition,
guests are asked to bring a dish to share.
